U.S. considers listing more Chinese media agencies in the U.S. as foreign missions

The Donald Trump government is considering making new demands on the second batch of Chinese official media, a move that will expand a game with Beijing, which has previously led both countries to expel reporters from each other.

According to people familiar with the matter, the US State Department is considering identifying these media branches in the United States as foreign missions in the next few days.

Although people familiar with the matter said that the number of affected media and the exact time to take this action have not been finalized, a list considered last month referred to five Chinese media agencies, namely " People's Daily, Global Times, China Central Television, China News Service and Hong Kong Phoenix Satellite Television Holdings Ltd.
